The Rightly So - Band Portraits - UW Arboretum

The Rightly So comprise of Greg + Jess, a pair of fantastic Americana folk musicians from Buffalo, NY. I was honored to photograph when their tour brought them here to Seattle.

These two are basically living the American dream. They travel around the country together in their huge white van they’ve affectionately dubbed “The Beast”. They play 100+ shows each year, managing & booking all their own tour. Jess is the singer & songwriter while Greg plays guitar. They are a super kind, fun & interesting couple.

I thought a natural background near the forest would be great for their session setting, so I suggested the UW Arboretum. It worked perfectly for their musical and personal style. This was my first time doing promotional band portraits, so there was a bit of a learning curve for me, but I had a lot of fun working with them!

They’re headed back home this summer to finish their next album. So glad to have met you two and hope to catch a show next time you are in town!

Austin - Dancer & Instructor - Personal Branding - Downtown, Seattle

My friend Austin is an awesome dancer, instructor and SEO/tech guru. I jokingly call him "Austin Timberlake" because he's so similar in appearance to Justin. We met thrugh the Brazilian Zouk community here in Seattle but he predominantly teaches/dances micro, fusion , blues & west coast swing.

He is a super positive guy and is always pursuing his ability to connect and uplift other dancers, students and fellow humans. Glad to have spent the evening with him to get these fun head shots & personal branding portraits for his online presence. I'm going to miss you when you move! Hope to dance with you again soon, my dude!

Laura - Circus Performer & Blogger - Personal Branding - Pioneer Square, Seattle

I am SO freaking grateful to have met & worked with my incredible, badass personal branding client, Laura. She just moved to Seattle from Georgia to pursue her life as a circus performer & aerial acrobatics instructor at Emerald City Trapeze.

In addition to being a great performer and teacher, Laura is building her personal brand as a writer/blogger. She's going to start a lifestyle oriented blog that incorporates health + fitness, circus life, travel, finances, writing & more.

It's mega inspiring working with my fellow young female entrepreneurs killing the game. I love getting the chance to experience the lives of others and how many unique careers and paths we all take.

I really wanted to show both sides of Laura's life in these photos. I had an amazing time sporadically getting Laura to do sweet gymnastic tricks and poses for the photos. It was so fun to see people's reactions. How often do you see a girl do a full split or back bend in public? SOOOO COOL!

I eagerly await your blog, Laura and I hope to see you perform a full aerial show soon! Thank you for being such a fun, sweet, strong, dedicated, kindhearted person :) The world needs more people like you!
