Isabel- Seattle Model Portraits

OMG, last week was crazy! My website was down for 4 days, I lost some client messages on my Instagram and my hard drive kept crashing. I was MEGA stressed. I am proud of myself for getting my website back online and transferring it between hosts (so long Namecheap, hello Google Domains!). I probably chatted with 8 different customer service reps in the 4 days. So glad I'm back up and running! Cheers to Isabel for being patient and waiting an extra week for me to get this session out during all that craziness!

Isabel is an awesome young model from TCM Models here in Seattle (where I'm also signed). We met at a casting call last year and I remember how bubbly and kind she was (which is starting to become exceedingly rare in the model industry it seems). She has a fantastic attitude and is she basically reminds me of a mermaid, fairy + princess combined as far as her looks go.

We wandered around my neighborhood around 15th Ave and found a cool community garden and garage with a view. I realized I locked my keys in my apartment (ARGHHH) and among all that chaos, her great attitude never wavered. We went and got ice cream and waited until my neighbor got home. Thanks for being such a fun subject, Isabel!

I like the different summer-y/boho/fairy vibes we created with the different looks and locations. The ear cuff portraits are something I wanted to photograph for YEARS! Glad I finally got to use that eBay find for a session.

PS- I saw "Wonder Woman" this weekend and it was GREAT. Girl POWAHHH! Gal Gadot is such a fox and is a great actress (and WHAT she's had two children with that bod?)

Baby Nora- Newborn Session

Kylie, one of my oldest and closest friends, just had a baby! She and her fiance Adam had the FREAKING CUTEST lil' girl named Nora. I had such a great time capturing her for half of a day, hanging out with Kylie, her mom, Kris, and my mom, Karen. Kylie's mom and my mom are really close friends too.  Kylie has a real knack for decorating and has always been insanely creative. The nursery they created for Nora is soooo good. The neon GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS sign is one of the coolest decorative touches I've ever seen in any room (love me some neon)!

I was a bit worried for our session because Nora was only a week old and I don't have any experience with babies. I was so pleased, though. Nora cried for MAYBE 2 minutes the entire 4 hours I was taking these portraits. She is such a well behaved, sweet, smiley, angel of a baby!

Kylie & Adam, I'm so glad you created such a beautiful little human. I can tell she is going to be such a badass, strong girl! I can't wait to see you walk and learn to talk.

Chelsea Miller- Seattle Model + Photographer

I am basically in LOOOOVE with these portraits I created with the beautiful Chelsea Miller! She's a model & a fellow photographer here in Seattle.

We went for a very 1960s Mod-meets-modern style with a twist. First, we went to the downtown Library and Chelsea donned her vintage 60s looking dress. The library has such a fabulous architectural style and is so airy. It's always so nice to hang out in, especially when you have a corner of the library to yourself like we did.

We walked around downtown Seattle for a bit and happened to wander into this golden art deco building that was PERFECT. Added this gold foil flake to Chelsea's eye lids and changed into a mod black pea coat and a 60s-/90s flower blouse I had. I love all of the vivid and bold tones!

Thanks for being such a great model, Chelsea!
